Initial Sponsored Students

Sponsored Students Services will serve as your main point of contact at Missouri S&T. We provide support with the application process, issuing your immigration documents, and pre-departure counseling. Sponsoring Agencies will need to be approved by International Enrollment before immigration documents will be released. You can upload your scholarship letter to your application status page or email it to Sponsored Student Services at iasss@mst.edu.

 The financial guarantee must be formally addressed to Missouri S&T, and must include the following information:

  • Student’s name
  • Duration of sponsorship validity
  • Approved major and degree level
  • List of expenses covered by the sponsor that should be invoiced
  • Sponsor’s billing information, including contact name, mailing address, and email address

New sponsoring agencies must be approved by the Office of International Enrollment. Contact us to learn if your sponsoring agency is verified and approved.

You must provide you financial guarantee before your I-20 or DS-2019 can be issued.

After admission has been offered and your scholarship verified, you will be issued an I-20 or DS-2019.

If your spouse or children are traveling with you, please refer to the Dependents page for additional information on the visa and immigration process.

At Missouri S&T, there are more than 200 student organizations where you can make new friends and develop your leadership skills. No matter what your hobbies and interest are, there is likely a club for you. You can also stay active with intramural sports and at the Student Recreation Center, which features an indoor fitness center, Olympic-sized swimming pool, and track, basketball, and volleyball courts. Our Leach Theatre hosts over 100 shows a year.
