Advising Services

Advising-by-Appointment allows students and scholars to schedule a meeting with their international advisor. Appointments are offered either in person or through Microsoft Teams. Meetings are 20 minutes long and are available Monday – Friday, beginning at 1:00 pm, with the last appointment each day beginning at 3:30 pm. Advising-by-Appointment

To schedule an appointment with your international advisor click the icon below and follow these steps:

  1. Select the correct international advisor based on our International Advising Staff.
  2. Complete the short questionnaire regarding your appointment.
  3. You will receive an email confirmation of the meeting. Please email your international advisor if you need to cancel or change the meeting. You will be emailed the link if you select to meet through Teams. If you select an in-person meeting, please come to 106 Centennial Hall.

Students and Scholars are encouraged to schedule an appointment instead of calling or visiting our office without an appointment. Staff members may be unavailable to meet with you unless you have a scheduled consultation. Consultations may be requested for a future date only and are unavailable on the same day of the request. Email ISSS@mst.edu or call 573-341-4208 to request a consultation. 

Consultations

Consultations are available if your concern or request will take longer than 20 minutes or if you are not able to meet with your international advisor during Advising-by-Appointment hours. 

Consultations will be scheduled for 30 minutes in length or longer, based on your specific situation and are available in-person or through Teams. Consultations may be requested for a future date only and are not available on the same day of the request.

Requests that do not require a meeting

Some requests may not require an Advising-by-Appointment meeting or consultation. Your request may be processed by completing the relevant form and submitting it to isss@mst.edu or to the front desk at 106 Centennial Hall. Most requests can be made via the ISSS Gateway Portal. If you review the request and are still unsure of the process or requirements, schedule an appointment.
