Immigration Document Process

In order for the Office of International Enrollment to issue you an I-20/DS-2019 from Missouri S&T, you must provide a financial statement that demonstrates you have sufficient funds to cover living and educational expenses for full-time study. A list of acceptable financial documents for international applicants is available here: Acceptable Types of Financial Documents

You will be required to provide a financial statement to meet the required I-20/DS-2019 cost of attendance for a minimum nine-month period, as listed here. The total amount listed for each degree type includes educational fees, room and board, books and supplies, personal needs, and health insurance. Please note that health insurance is mandatory for all international students, and your admission to Missouri S&T is contingent upon your purchase of this mandatory insurance policy. For more information, see Health Insurance.

Note that financial statements are not required as part of the S&T application process, but upon admission you must submit the financial statement to be issued your I-20 or DS-2019 which is required to apply for a F-1 or J-1 student visa.

In order for International Enrollement to issue your immigration documents you must upload the following documents to your application status page

  • Financial support documents from you or your sponsor(s) indicating the required funds are available or a financial guarantee letter, if you will be sponsored by your home government or employer.
