Study Abroad

American students wanting to study abroad have a variety of opportunities through the Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Office of International Affairs.

The international affairs office facilitates study abroad through the Student Exchange Program and Faculty Exchange Programs.

Other study abroad opportunities at Missouri S&T include the Missouri London Program and the IAESTE program (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience), which gives students a chance to work in another country for a semester and is handled through the Career Opportunities Center.

The Missouri London Program

British life, literature and culture are studied in small classes at Imperial College either for a semester or during the three- and six-week summer programs. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the streets, pubs and architecture of the City of London itself, including the galleries and museums, the newly restored Globe Theatre and the many other theatres in the West End and on the Fringe, the Inns of Court and Old Bailey, and St. Paul's Cathedral. Being able to study in London and visit these historical places provides unforgettable intellectual and aesthetic experiences. Participants in this program take day field trips to such historic places as Bath, Blenheim, Cambridge, Canterbury, Dover, Greenwich, Hampton Court, Oxford, Stonehenge, Stratford and Windsor, and are given opportunities to visit the continent and beyond. Courses are taught by faculty from the eight participating Missouri Universities; financial assistance may be applicable to this program.
