Financial Statement Requirements

In order for the Office of International and Cultural Affairs (OICA) to issue you an I-20/DS-2019 from Missouri S&T, you must provide a financial statement that demonstrates you have sufficient funds to cover living and educational expenses for full-time study. Please refer to the financial statement requirements listed below for what must be included on the statement.

You will be required to provide a financial statement to meet the required I-20/DS-2019 cost of attendance for a minimum nine-month period, as listed here. The total amount listed for each degree type includes educational fees, room and board, books and supplies, personal needs, and health insurance. Please note that health insurance is mandatory for all international students, and your admission to Missouri S&T is contingent upon your purchase of this mandatory insurance policy. For more information, see health insurance.

Note that financial statements are not required as part of the S&T application process, but upon admission you must submit the financial statement to be issued your I-20 or DS-2019 which is required to apply for a F-1 or J-1 student visa. You can send the statement at any time to the Office of International and Cultural Affairs. However, to enable us to issue you your immigration document in a timely manner, we encourage you to send a scanned copy as soon as possible via email or mail to:
